Natalie Ryan

Mental Health Social Worker

Natalie is a registered mental health social worker with extensive experience working in the school, not-for-profit, disability and community services sector.

 

Natalie provides individual counselling to children, adolescents and adults experiencing a range of mental health difficulties, including depression, anxiety, grief and loss and the impacts of trauma and abuse. Natalie also provides couples and family counselling.

 

Natalie utilises a rich palette of evidence based therapeutic modalities, including; dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), behaviour analysis/ support and collaborative problem solving. She is trained in EMDR and Internal Family Systems.

 

Natalie works from a trauma informed, strengths perspective and believes in the value of self-determination in enabling individuals to improve their mental health and capacity for positive change.

 

Natalie is a keen lifelong learner and is currently undertaking postgraduate studies in psychology. In her spare time, Natalie enjoys hiking, cooking, and pottering in the garden.
