Clinical Psychologist and Practice Director

 

Niclés is a clinical psychologist who has extensive experience working in a variety of counselling, community mental health and school wellbeing settings. 

 

Nicles provides individual counselling for adults, adolescents and children with a range of support needs including trauma, dissociation, depression, anxiety, panic, phobias, OCD, psychosis, self-harm, grief and loss, relationship issues, and life transitions. 

​

Niclés has a particular interest in working with trauma and dissociation, including PTSD, Complex PTSD, personality disorders, dissociative experiences and dissociative disorders. Niclés also provides clinical supervision and secondary consultation in working with trauma, dissociation and dissociative disorders and in using internal family systems. 

​

Niclés supports clients to recognise their strengths and resources so they can work towards achieving personally meaningful goals in their lives. Her approach is warm, non-judgemental and compassionate and she strives to create a safe space for individuals to express themselves freely.

​

Niclés is trained in a range of therapeutic approaches including internal family systems therapy, eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness-based therapies, and dialectical behaviour therapy.

 

Outside of work, Niclés loves spending time with family and friends, reading, walking her dog and running.
