Types of counselling
At Aspire Wellness and Psychology we tailor a range of evidence based therapies to support you to reach your goals and potential.
CBT: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy enables awareness
of and changes to patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving to reduce distress and increase wellbeing.
IFS: Internal Family Systems therapy deepens awareness of and connection to your Self and different parts to increase cohesion and improve your wellbeing.
EMDR: Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a highly effective approach to treating trauma that can
resolve trauma-symptoms and increases feelings
of safety.
DBT: Dialectical Behaviour Therapy emphasises managing and regulating emotions, improving
interpersonal
skills, tolerating distress and being mindful.
ACT: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy emphasises acceptance of what is outside of your personal control and encourages taking action to enrich and improve your life.
